GCBC is located in Warsaw, (Gallatin County) Kentucky near Craig's Creek, on the Markland Pool of the Ohio River. In the Spring of 1990, eight local bass fishermen in the surrounding area got together and started the club. The past several years have seen continual growth in the club. Today membership is 30 plus members. Members are from the surrounding areas of Warsaw, Dry Ridge, Crittenden, Carrollton, Florence, Union, & Independence, Kentucky. The past couple years the Club has gained members from surrounding communities in Indiana.
GCBC has monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. They conduct monthly tournaments during the months of March thru October.
Membership dues are $45.00 per year. The club year runs from November 1 thru October 31 of each year. Dues become due on November 1st and are to be paid in full by December 15 of that year.
From each members dues, $25.00 is automatically paid to the Kentucky B.A.S.S. Federation and the B.A.S.S. National Chapter Federation.
GCBC has at minimum of 8 tournaments per year. The $20.00 entry at each tournament is paid as follows. 20% held for the End of Year Classic and the remaining 80% is paid to the top 3 places at each Tournament. All monthly tournaments are DRAW and each non boater is assured of being placed in a boat in order to compete.
Point Standings are kept throughout the year. Hi Point man for the year is awarded as the Angler of the Year. The top 6 members in points qualify to compete in the KBF Club Challenge Tournament held each September by the Kentucky B.A.S.S. Federation.
GCBC holds normally 2 or more Open Buddy Tournaments sometime during the year to help offset the cost of entries to the Challenge Tournament and other events. They also hold promotional events for the Youth of the surrounding areas. Each year the club conducts a B.A.S.S. Casting Kids event during the Warsaw Riverfest.
